The vertical framing accompanies the waterfall from the cliff face down to the rocks of the torrent, emphasizing the height of the relief. The cirque is located at an altitude of approximately 900 meters, near Saint-Pierre-d’Entremont. Its cliffs reach nearly 500 meters and shelter four waterfalls fed by the underground springs of the Guiers Vif, at the foot of the Hauts de Chartreuse nature reserve. The diffuse light brings out the whiteness of the water without overpowering the details of the rock.
