The three Aiguilles d'Arves stand out against a deep blue sky, above slopes completely covered in snow. The tight framing eliminates almost all secondary elements and focuses the eye on the geometry of the peaks, their couloirs, and the rock lines that pierce the winter mantle. The Aiguille Septentrionale is recognizable by its two points forming the Tête de Chat. Beside it stand the Aiguille Centrale and then the Aiguille Méridionale, the highest point of the massif at 3,514 meters. United along the same axis, these three silhouettes constitute one of the most characteristic landmarks of the Arves massif.
