About this image
From the Grands Montets area, the silhouettes of the Grand Dru and Petit Dru emerge in the foreground, in front of the high snows of the Mont-Blanc massif. Their dark granite walls and sharply defined ridges give a vertical tension to the image, while the glacial reliefs in the background broaden the panorama. A couloir between the snowy spires opens onto the vast glacial basin in the distance. Above a dome, a lenticular cloud introduces a smoother form than the rocky profiles. Bertrand Godfroid’s photograph reveals this transition from proximity to distance: first the walls frame the view, then the ice surfaces give the landscape greater breadth.
The Drus belong to the Aiguille Verte group and dominate the Chamonix valley above the Mer de Glace. From the heights of Argentière, this viewpoint brings together several major landmarks of the massif: granite spires, snow-covered couloirs, glaciers, and large peaks aligned all the way to Mont-Blanc.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
