About this image
The pyramidal silhouette of the Cervin is reflected in the calm waters of Lake Riffelsee above Zermatt. The absence of wind transforms the small mountain lake into an almost perfect mirror. The actual peak and its reflection organize the composition around a powerful axis, framed by the stones and sparse vegetation of the banks. Brown, stony shores frame the reflection at close range, while fine streaks cross the blue sky. In the water, the summit’s whites echo the dark areas of its faces. This continuity between the two pyramids, real and reflected, gives the landscape its graphic strength without losing the modest textures of the Riffelsee’s banks.
Lake Riffelsee is located in the Gornergrat area, near Rotenboden, in the canton of Valais. From this plateau, the Cervin dominates the horizon at 4,478 meters. Its instantly recognizable profile marks the border between Switzerland and Italy and is one of the major landmarks of the Alpes valaisannes.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
