About this image
The Guiers Vif meanders between limestone blocks and the undergrowth of the Cirque de Saint-Même. The clear water flows through a scene rich in mosses, roots, and wet rocks, bringing movement to a tight framing of the torrent and the forest. An arched wooden footbridge crosses the torrent in front of a stepped waterfall. Its curve stands apart from the rocks and the lush green canopy, providing a built landmark in the depths of the woodland. The photograph thus links the movement of the water to a crossing, from the nearby boulders to the succession of falls behind the bridge.
The photograph emphasizes freshness and textures rather than a general view of the cliffs. The deep greens of the vegetation echo the grays of the stone, while the white areas of the water guide the eye through the undergrowth.
The stream originates from underground springs in the Chartreuse massif before forming the waterfalls of the cirque. Historically, it marked the boundary between Dauphiné and Savoie, and to this day it still forms a border between the Isère and Savoie departments.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
