About this image
At Lac Achard, the dark, calm water reflects the high-altitude pines, granite slabs and Belledonne mountains. Rocks draw natural lines in the foreground, while grassy projections shape the shores. The spaced-out pines leave the panorama open: their presence continues in the reflections without forming an unbroken screen in front of the mountain.
The balance of this photograph lies in the diversity of its textures. Stone surfaces are echoed by soft vegetation and the depth of the water; the greens of the pines, greys of the slabs and blues of the sky reappear in the lake. The contours of the shore thus pass from the terrain into its reflection. This continuity creates a peaceful atmosphere while preserving the place's mountain character.
Located at 1,917 metres above sea level, the lake is accessible from Chamrousse in the Belledonne massif. It belongs to a sensitive natural area associated with the Arselle peat bog. The local name actually refers to several small bodies of water that are gradually silting up. This context gives meaning to the place of grasses and banks in the composition, between open water, vegetation and rock.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
