Frozen and enveloped in a light mist, Lake Montriond blends into an almost monochrome winter landscape. The white shore, the frosted trees, and the barely visible slopes create a silent scene. A few walkers appear on the frozen expanse, offering a discreet sense of scale. The lake is located at an altitude of 1,072 meters in the Aulps Valley, in Haute-Savoie. Nestled between the forests and cliffs of the Chablais, it forms one of the great natural landscapes in the Montriond and Morzine area.
