About this image
Lac Guichard forms a calm mirror reflecting the Aiguilles d'Arves. The three peaks extend into the water amidst the grasses and wetlands of the Col de la Croix de Fer. The reflection, slightly disturbed by the vegetation on the banks, preserves the natural character of the landscape while giving a strong structure to the composition. In the foreground, emerging plants break through the surface and locally interrupt the reflection. The russet grasses along the banks extend these small vertical lines, while the ridges trace a horizontal line in the distance. The photograph thus combines a close view of the wetland with the distant presence of the three spires, brought together in the same calm water.
The lake is located in the commune of Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves, in Savoie, in the area of the Col de la Croix de Fer. This high-altitude plateau brings together small bodies of water, peat bogs, and alpine pastures open to the Arvan Valley. The Aiguilles d'Arves appear here in one of their most recognizable profiles.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
