About this image
In the early morning, Lac de Presset reflects the first light of day before Pierra Menta. The golden rock tower and the silhouette of a building are mirrored in the small lake. A dark ridge closes part of the background beneath the blue sky. The contrast between the light on the monolith, the shadows of the surrounding terrain and the reflected outlines gives definition to the morning atmosphere, right down to the details near the shore.
The colours of the sunrise settle on Lac de Presset while the characteristic silhouette of Pierra Menta stands out in the background. This scene captures the calm and isolation of the high-altitude landscapes of the Beaufortain.
At sunrise, Lac de Presset captures the first colours while the silhouette of Pierra Menta still dominates the landscape. The light gradually reveals the contours of the Beaufortain and gives the scene great softness.
The matte Dibond aluminium reproduces the morning hues and the details of the summit with controlled contrast. This photograph is suitable for those seeking a bright, precise mountain image immediately associated with the Beaufortain. The print is made to order on this matte surface.
