About this image

Above Lélex, the alpine pastures and low-lying vegetation accompany the long lines of the Crêt de la Neige. Meadows, exposed rocks, and a few groves structure the foreground before the ridge occupies the entire width of the landscape. Several hikers follow the path up to the grassy summit. On the left, layered rock bands line the slope, while a large metal structure appears in profile on the heights. Beneath grey clouds, these landmarks give scale to the terrain and guide the eye onwards from the nearby path.

The mountain here expresses itself through the breadth of its curves rather than a strong verticality. The wide framing follows the undulations of the terrain, differences in colour separate the planes, and the clear light preserves the natural softness of the shapes.

The highest point of the Jura massif, the Crêt de la Neige overlooks the Pays de Gex and the Valserine valley. The site is part of the Haute Chaîne du Jura nature reserve, where open ridges follow the denser forests of the slopes.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
