About this image
A crevassed section of the Glacier Blanc stretches in front of the Pointe de la Grande Sagne. Seracs, fractures, and layers of snow occupy the bottom of the image, while the rocky mass of the summit structures the background and gives the landscape its full height. Broad blue crevasses and seracs form a diagonal in the foreground. Behind them, the pale rocky pyramid is extended by a jagged ridge on the left. This arrangement makes the glacier’s bend and its fractures particularly clear, contrasting the irregular pattern of the ice with the more continuous lines of the rock face.
The photograph focuses on part of the glacier, its texture, hollows and breaks. The blues of the ice contrast with the greys of the Grande Sagne, creating an almost graphic reading without losing the precision of the terrain.
The glacier is located above Vallouise-Pelvoux, in the Écrins National Park. Accessible from Pré de Madame Carle, it is one of the massif's major glaciers and has been regularly monitored for several decades.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
