The small Lake Limides reflects the contours of Lagazuoi in calm waters bordered by pines and high-altitude meadows. The Dolomite walls extend across the surface, while the stones and irregularities of the banks give the foreground a natural presence. The lake is located near the Falzarego Pass, in the Cortina d'Ampezzo area. From its surroundings, the view opens towards Lagazuoi, Averau, and Tofana di Rozes, in a landscape where small bodies of water punctuate the alpine pastures at the foot of large cliffs. The composition is based on reflection without seeking perfect symmetry. The rocky silhouettes remain sharp, the conifers frame the water, and variations of blue, green, and gray lend a calm atmosphere to this Dolomitic landscape.
