About this image
The ridges of the Sancy massif follow one another above the glacial valleys of the Dore Mountains. The peaks, passes, and slopes form a vast panorama, marked by steeper lines than the regular cones of the Chaîne des Puys.
The landscape is organized around the Puy de Sancy, the highest point of the Massif central at 1,885 meters. This ancient volcanic complex has been deeply reshaped by erosion and glaciers, which have carved radiating valleys around the high reliefs of Puy-de-Dôme.
The panoramic format makes it possible to follow changes in slope without artificially isolating a single peak. Darker valleys provide depth, illuminated ridges structure the horizon, and the wide-open sky reinforces the mountainous character of this part of Auvergne.
This panoramic photo print of the Sancy massif, created by ALEXANDRE Suzie, is printed to order on matte Dibond aluminium. The rendition preserves the details of the ridges and the grandeur of the Dore Mountains.
