About this image
Mont Pelvoux and Pic Sans Nom stand tall above the crevassed part of the Glacier Blanc. The ice fractures occupy the foreground, then the snow gullies and rock faces lead the eye towards the summits. The crevassed glacier occupies the right-hand side of the foreground, beside darker moraine terrain. Above it, the great wall with two summits stands on the left, followed by finer peaks in the centre. This sequence distinguishes the forms of the ice from the rocky masses, offering several directions for the eye to follow through the landscape.
The framing emphasises texture and verticality rather than a distant panorama. Seracs and crevasses create a network of irregular lines, while the dark walls give the photograph its full height.
The scene is located above Vallouise-Pelvoux, in the Écrins National Park. The two mountains approach 4,000 metres and form, with Ailefroide, one of the most impressive groups on the eastern side of the massif.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
