About this image

From the Pic de l'Aigle, the forests, combes, and plateaus of the Haut-Jura stretch to the horizon. The limestone cliffs in the foreground open up a very wide panorama, where the valleys are distinguished mainly by their differences in colour and density. A pale rock face stands out in the centre of the wooded ridge. At the lower right, a nearer rocky spur provides a first mineral texture, while trees fill the rest of the view. The photograph relies on these limestone openings in the canopy, which reveal the terrain without breaking the continuity of the forest.

The photograph does not rely on an isolated subject. Its strength comes from the accumulation of planes, the continuity of the forests, and the clearer lines that cross the landscape. Depth is gradually built without losing the details of the foreground.

The belvedere overlooks La Chaux-du-Dombief and the Pays des Lacs. Its position allows one to appreciate the organisation of a deeply wooded territory, marked by gentle reliefs, wetlands, and several lakes nestled in ancient glacial basins.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?

If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
