About this image
From Puy Mary, the verdant ridges of the Cantal volcano radiate around deeply carved valleys. The high-altitude pastures follow the contours of the land, while passes and slopes succeed one another until they reach the gentler horizons of Cantal. Hikers follow the ridge path above the steep, intensely green valleys. Their silhouettes give scale to the slopes before the long ridges extending towards the horizon. This human presence remains small within the panorama, but makes the continuous route between the successive forms of the Cantal landscape tangible.
The panorama is not based on a single volcanic form. It shows the complete organization of the massif: ridges, plateaus, slopes and valley floors form several planes, differentiated by light and by shades of green that gradually become more bluish in the distance.
This emblematic summit dominates the Cantal mountains, in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park. The current landscape is the result of the erosion of a vast ancient volcano, whose glacial valleys have opened up long perspectives between the ridges.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
