In winter, the Pierra Menta stands above the snowy valleys while the Presset refuge appears nestled in the landscape. The building, almost minuscule compared to the monolith, immediately conveys the sense of space and isolation characteristic of this sector of the Beaufortain. The refuge stands in the centre of an undulating snow basin crossed by access tracks. Two rocky pinnacles rise behind it, breaking the continuity of the white slopes. The curve of the terrain around the building makes its position particularly clear, while the tracks provide a direction across this vast winter expanse.
The composition is distinguished by its very graphic lines: slopes smoothed by snow, ridges sculpted by the wind, and a rocky peak standing in the background. The sober tones reinforce the mineral dimension and the sensation of silence without erasing the details of the refuge.
The Presset refuge is located at approximately 2,514 metres altitude, on the shore of the lake of the same name. It is surrounded by the Pierra Menta, the Aiguille de la Nova, and the Pointe de Presset, and is a recognised stop on hiking, mountaineering, and ski touring routes.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
