About this image
From the crest of the Brèche de Rolland, the pyramidal silhouette of Puy Mary dominates the green landscapes of the Cantal volcano. The high-altitude meadows and ridgelines guide the eye towards the summit, which forms the main focal point of the panorama. The path crosses grasses and low reddish-brown vegetation before reaching the rocky pyramid. Beneath the overcast sky, the differences in the ground’s colours retain a soft light. This route provides a nearby entry into the panorama and connects the textures of the foreground to the more massive forms of the summit.
The Brèche de Rolland, locally called the Pourtaou, forms a recognizable break in the Peyre-Arse relief. The photograph follows this natural line, while the shadows deepen the slopes and give the landscape its full depth.
Puy Mary rises to 1,787 metres in the heart of the Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal. Around it, glacial erosion has carved deep glacial valleys and left a succession of ridges, domes, and rocky spurs.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
