The Saint-Vincent footbridge crosses the Saône in front of the colorful facades and slopes of Croix-Rousse. Its light line connects the two banks, while the river occupies the foreground and reflects the shades of the sky, buildings, and vegetation. This pedestrian passage connects the quays of the Saint-Vincent sector to the vicinity of Saint-Paul. The viewpoint thus brings together the Saône, the Croix-Rousse hill, and a part of the urban heritage bordering the left bank of the river. The framing relies on several complementary lines: the horizontality of the water, the discreet curve of the footbridge, and the staggered buildings on the hill. The reflections soften the architecture and give this view of Lyon a calm depth, far from the most monumental perspectives.
