About this image
Lac d’Oeschinen spreads its turquoise waters at the foot of the Blüemlisalp massif. Forests and meadows take on autumn hues, while the high rock faces and lighter peaks close off the cirque above Kandersteg. A chalet appears in the green grass of the foreground near the conifers. Below, the blue lake narrows against the high cliffs of the cirque. The small building gives a sense of scale to the nearby slope, while the depth of the basin makes the walls more imposing: the image leads the eye from the inhabited slope to the great rocky enclosure.
The photograph combines three very different registers: the intense blue of the water, the warm colors of the vegetation, and the cold grays of the high mountains. This progression guides the eye from the shores to the peaks, without losing the transparency or the variations in depth of the lake.
The lake is located in the Bernese Oberland, in the heart of the "Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch" natural World Heritage site. Nestled in a vast rock basin, it is surrounded by the Blüemlisalp mountains, whose glaciers and peaks rising over 3,000 meters dominate the valley.

What should I do if my print arrives damaged or has a defect?
If the print has a printing defect, breakage or transport damage, whether the packaging is damaged or appears intact, contact AluArtMountains as soon as possible. Send your order number, a full photograph of the print and detailed photos of the defect. If the packaging is marked or damaged, also include photos of the inner and outer packaging and the shipping label. Once the claim is approved, a compliant replacement print will be produced at no extra cost, without limiting your statutory rights.
