From Chamonix, the cogwheel train reaches the Montenvers site, located at an altitude of 1,913 meters, in about twenty minutes. Inaugurated in 1910, this historic line leads to the Mer de Glace viewpoint, with views of Les Drus and the Grandes Jorasses.
