Around Chamonix, the collection moves from the grand silhouettes of Mont Blanc to the more sculpted peaks of Les Drus, the Aiguille Verte, and the Aiguille du Midi. The Mer de Glace, the Bossons and Argentière glaciers, seracs, and ridges offer closer images, where the texture of the ice becomes almost as important as the summit.
